The Tarot can be very intimidating for people who are first learning. Trust me, I know – it took 7 years before I started listening to my own intuition and definitions of the cards. But that was because I didn’t have anyone to tell me that it was okay to find my own meanings.
So today, I am going to tell you if a meaning jumps out at you for a card, it is OK to go with it. You already know everything you need to know to start reading the Tarot right now.
How can I say that? The Tarot is made of symbols that everyone from every culture has learned for thousands of years. Anyone who looks at a heart already has meanings associated with it. A wand is also a familiar concept, and even seeing a bunny or squirrel will evoke certain ideas or thoughts.
Look at the card below from the Rider-Waite-Smith deck. What are these people doing? What are they thinking or feeling? Put yourself in the card – talk to them, become them. Tell a story about it. It doesn’t matter if it “seems” right or not. What matters is that it feels true to you. Let us know what you come up with below:
