The other day I interviewed Tierney Sadler. I always admire Tierney’s takes on the Tarot cards; they give me something to think about. So she is the first in a series of Tarot Round Table interviews that I will be doing for my blog.
Some of the things we talked about were Tierney’s ability to combine her marketing and business background with Tarot and her philosophy on Breaking the Rules. Tierney is all about finding your own meanings in the cards.
You can hear the interview here or even download it as an MP3 here:
Tierney and I had some good laughs over things we like (and don’t like) about the Tarot World. We have a lot of the same views, especially around reading for people who want to know things like, “Will so-and-so ask me out?” and “I like this guy…does he like me?”Now, you may think laughing about these things is rude, but my view is this:
I don’t like to do readings about people who are not in the room. You would do much better to turn the question around and ask what you can do to attract this (or even a better positive) relationship in your life. To ask questions about what other people think about you is very disempowering. I would rather use Tarot in ways that will empower people.
Also, during this interview, you will hear about Tierney’s upcoming release of something near the end of this year.
Outside of the interview, I asked Tierney what Tarot card she is, and this is what she had to say:
“Aspirationally, I’d be Existence from the Osho Zen. In
reality, I’m probably The Devil from the Housewives Tarot.”
